They’re Watching, But They Still Don’t Believe
Luke 6:7 (NIV) “The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely…” They watched Jesus. Not to learn. Not to grow. Not to believe. But to accuse. The Pharisees and scribes stood front row to miracles. They saw blinded eyes opened, withered hands restored, the lame walking, the dead raised. But still—they refused to believe. Not because the power wasn’t real… but because He was. It wasn’t the what. It was the who. They couldn’t stand that the glory came through Him.
And just like that, they watch you too. They don’t like, comment, or share— But Facebook, Instagram, and all these apps have a way of letting you see the silent watchers. They won’t support you in public… But they’re watching your anointing unfold in real time. It’s not about what you do—it’s about who you are. Your anointing is a threat. Your calling makes people uncomfortable because they remember who you used to be.
See, what they don’t know is: You were hand-picked by your high school as a profound writer. They don’t know your gift was refined in the fire— In a prison cell where it was just you, your thoughts, your pain, and your pen. They see shiny suits now… But they don’t see the nights you cried, the fights you had just to live another day. You were hidden. By God’s design.
Psalm 27:5 “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.” While they gossiped behind your back— God was building you in silence. They tried to figure you out so they could label you, But you weren’t made to fit their mold. You were never part of the clique. You were always the called-out one.
Your testimony? You gave them pieces. But because it was you, they paid no mind. They couldn’t see past the vessel to recognize the oil. But let them watch. Let them wonder. Let them whisper. Because God is raising you in plain sight.
