He Heard You Before You Spoke

Do you remember the story of Lazarus in John 11? Mary and Martha had sent word to Jesus: “Lord, the one you love is sick.” But instead of rushing to heal His friend, Jesus stayed two more days where He was. It seemed like a delay—maybe even abandonment. But what looked like a setback was really a setup for something greater. When Jesus finally arrived, Lazarus had been dead for four days—but Jesus called him out of the tomb, alive. God’s delays are not His denials. They’re divine pauses designed to display His glory.

Isaiah 65:24 says, “Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.” That means before you ever fell to your knees, He already had the solution in motion. While you were still forming the words through tears, He was dispatching angels, opening doors, softening hearts, and setting the stage for the breakthrough.

You’ve been praying—for healing in your body, for peace in your mind, for your family to be restored, for your finances to be redeemed. You’ve asked God to open the right doors and close the wrong ones. You’ve pleaded for your loved ones to lose the taste of addiction, to come out of mental darkness, to break free from the pull of the world. And yet, it feels like heaven is quiet.

But God’s silence isn’t a “no”—it’s a “watch what I do next.” You see, He came that you might have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). That life in Christ doesn’t just mean breathing—it means thriving. It means peace that makes no sense, joy that doesn’t require circumstances, power to overcome, and strength to wait. It means walking in purpose, even when pain tries to paralyze you. That abundant life looks like freedom from chains, even if your situation hasn’t shifted yet.

On the other side of your fear is the future He promised. On the other side of your delay is your deliverance. On the other side of your waiting is your witness. On the other side of your breakdown is a breakthrough that’s going to bless more than just you—it’s going to change generations.

God hears. God sees. God moves—even when it doesn’t feel like it. So don’t give up in the hallway. You’re closer to the open door than you think. Keep praying. Keep pressing. Keep trusting. He heard you before you even spoke.
