Out of Position

There’s a story tucked into the pages of Genesis that we often overlook — the story of Joseph, the dreamer.
He had a vision of greatness, of leadership, of honor…
Yet where do we find him after the dream?
Not on a throne, but thrown into a pit.
Not crowned with authority, but chained in slavery.
Not seated at a banquet, but locked in a prison.

He was out of position — or so it seemed.

But what if God intentionally allows seasons where we appear out of place?
What if the pit was not punishment, but positioning?
What if the prison was not a delay, but divine training ground?
What if being “out of position” is exactly where God needs you to be to prepare you for the position He promised you?

Sometimes God dislocates us from comfort to relocate us into calling.
Sometimes being out of position is the only way He can break what would have broken us later.
Sometimes it’s the place of obscurity that produces the oil of authority.

If you feel out of position right now — misunderstood, overlooked, set aside — don’t despise it.
You may not be where you wanted to be, but you are exactly where God needs you to be.

Joseph’s pit positioned him for Potiphar’s house.
Potiphar’s house positioned him for the prison.
And the prison positioned him for the palace.

You’re not out of position.
You’re in divine transition.

Stay faithful.
Stay ready.
God is setting the stage.
