WHEN GOD CHANGES THE NARRATIVE — READ THIS SLOWLY

Have you ever noticed…
That sometimes your biggest discouragement doesn’t come from enemies,
But from your own people?
Your family doubts you.
Your friends grow silent.
Your community overlooks you.
Your culture doesn’t celebrate you.
Your race won’t open the door for you.

But let me remind you: GOD WILL STILL DO IT.
He will send support from the most unlikely, unqualified, unfamiliar places
—because when GOD writes your story, no one else gets the pen.

Look at David.
His own father didn’t even invite him to the table when the prophet came to anoint a king (1 Samuel 16:11).
His brothers belittled him at the battlefield (1 Samuel 17:28).
His king told him he wasn’t enough (1 Samuel 17:33).
But the same hands they ignored were the hands God used to bring down a giant.
God changed the narrative.

David didn’t rise because of his family, his status, or his connections.
He rose because God called him, God equipped him, and God was with him.

“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” — Psalm 118:22

Sometimes the REJECTION is a part of the RE-DIRECTION.
God used a forgotten shepherd to lead a nation.
He used a Moabite woman (Ruth) to carry the bloodline of the Messiah.
He used Rahab, a prostitute, to preserve the promise.
He used Joseph, betrayed by his own brothers, to save a nation.
He used Gentile kings to bless Israel.
He used lepers, fishermen, tax collectors, and even a donkey to carry His glory.

God does not need permission from your background to fulfill your destiny.
Read that again.

If you’re in a season where it feels like you’re unsupported, underestimated, or unseen—don’t fold.
Don’t curse the silence. God is just turning the page.
The narrative is changing.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Your story isn’t over.
Just because they didn’t believe in you…
Doesn’t mean God won’t bless you.
In fact, He often waits until the crowd clears out before He performs His greatest work.

Stay faithful. Stay humble. Stay ready.
Because God is about to change the narrative… and when He does, everyone will know it was HIM.
