WITHOUT THE LORD…YOU’LL NEVER FIND IT!By Rev. Eric Pyatt

You can search high and low.
You can chase clout, cash, and connections.
You can pack up and head to Moab like Elimelech, thinking the grass is greener, only to bury your future in a foreign land.
Because without the Lord—you’ll never find it!
Let’s talk about Naomi.
She left Bethlehem—the house of bread—because of famine, but didn’t realize the famine was a test, not a curse.
She and her husband thought they were making a survival move,
but what they didn’t know is they were stepping outside of God’s provision trying to manufacture their own.
Moab looked promising.
But the promise was in Bethlehem—even in the famine.
They left trying to escape lack,
but in Moab, she lost everything.
Three graves.
No husband.
No sons.
No security.
No peace.
She went out full, and came back empty (Ruth 1:21).
Because anytime you try to find purpose without the Presence,
anytime you try to build without the Blueprint,
you will find pain instead of peace.
You’ll be like the men in Luke 24 on the road to Emmaus—confused, walking away from the cross,
talking about what could’ve been,
not realizing Jesus was walking with them the whole time.
That’s what happens when you try to walk this life without Him.
You miss that He is the Answer you’ve been looking for.
It was only when Naomi returned
that Ruth’s destiny unfolded.
That Boaz was revealed.
That the lineage of the Messiah was restored.
Because the blessing wasn’t out there—it was tied to obedience and alignment.
Here’s the truth:
You can’t find identity,
You won’t uncover destiny,
You’ll keep misplacing peace,
You’ll chase false fulfillment,
Because without the Lord, YOU’LL NEVER FIND IT.
Psalm 127:1 says,
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.”
Stop running. Start returning.
The Lord is not your last resort—He’s the only Source.
Everything you’re looking for is in Him. @highlight
